Set series dramatically engage the theatrical space of actual television sets of private television stations (the point of reference would be small, perhaps alternative or experimental, television channels). Each photograph proposes a new set as it portrays a single physical space. The idea behind this project is to invert the creative order, to propose spaces for a thematic use as if the content could be determined by the way the space is arranged and furnished. I re-enact forbidden spaces, soft and unstable surfaces, idle times. I do research into something that is or could be dysfunctional. I engage history and the power of desire. I try to produce alterations. This is a sort of reverse or pseudo-realism. A system that attempts to be useful and useless at the same time, taking full advantage of its own contradiction. I work with objects and everyday materials from the grammar of the perception that these materials provide. It’s as if I had a malleable material in my hands and I reformulated its principles, structure and purpose."       Text by Miguel Mitlag       Rencontres d'Arles       Las obras de Tv Set se relacionan dramáticamente con las escenografías y decorados de canales privados de televisión (las referencias podrían ser emisoras pequeñas, alternativas o experimentales). Cada fotografía propone un nuevo set, repitiendo el mismo espacio físico. La idea detrás de este proyecto es la de invertir el orden creativo, proponiendo espacios para un uso temático, como si el contenido estuviese determinado por la manera en que el espacio se ofrece ordenado y/o ambientado. Recreo espacios prohibidos, superficies blandas o inestables, tiempos ociosos, investigo algo que es o que puede ser disfuncional, me encuentro con la historia y el poder del deseo. Intento producir alteraciones. Un realismo a la inversa: un pseudo-realismo; un sistema que pretende ser funcional e inútil al mismo tiempo, y que se beneficia de sus contradicciones. Trabajo con materiales cotidianos y objetos a partir de una gramática de la percepción que esos materiales ofrecen. Es como tener entre las manos un material maleable y volver a reformular sus principios, su estructura, su finalidad.     Texto de Miguel Mitlag
